On Saturday, Pierce turned 21 months! It's so hard to believe that he's nearing TWO. Yes, two.
Yummy cake that Nana and Papa brought to celebrate! |
Every day I find myself wondering how he went from that to this...
Pierce loves his Papa! |
He's making good progress in his therapies. OT has seemed to have the best response as we've begun to tackle his sensory issues. He's now self-feeding finger foods and can eat just about anything we will let him have a go at.

(A whole 'nother post to follow on this one. Thanks to Level 4 of Charlotte for helping Pierce attract all the ladies with his round head!) |
Every day he's talking more and more. We're so thankful that his speech is tracking right along for his age.
This week our ABM therapist will be traveling to Charlotte (huge answer to prayers-- this means no traveling for us). We are so excited to see what progress comes from this week's sessions. We're also excited that John (ABM therapist) will be at our therapy clinic so that our OT and PT can sit in and watch! We are so thankful to have such a great team working with our boy.
Of course, our big appointment is on Wednesday at 11am. We will be consulting Dr. Warf from Boston Children's Hospital. Please pray that we will have clarity on which surgical option to pursue after speaking with him. Pray that God grants him wisdom as he reviews Pierce's case. We will update our blog after we chat with him!
Thank you for walking this journey with us.
