Discharging Lindsay

Hey everyone, Lindsay is about to get discharged. We are going to go visit Pierce and then go home for a little bit. This is a very difficult day, especially for the mother. We have been reserved a boarding room at the hospital tonight, so that we can be near Pierce. I have been praying prayers and Psalms for Pierce. Here is one that I have come back to a few times. It is Psalm 3. King David was being pursued by his son Absalom and a horde of minions. Though the danger was eminent, David could lie down and go to asleep because the LORD protected and sustained him.

A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me; many are saying of my soul, there is no salvation for him in God. Selah
  But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.
  I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah
  I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the LORD sustained me.
  I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.
  Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked.
  Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing be on your people! Selah
 (Psalm 3)

  1. Nik and Lindsay- you have been an inspiration and encouragement to us all. Your trust and faith in the Most High- is truly remarkable. We are praying for miracles and God's glory to be revealed. Praying for your rest and peace today especially as you leave the hospital. Much Love!!
    Psalm 121 -
    I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
    where does my help come from?
    My help comes from the LORD,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.

    He will not let your foot slip—
    he who watches over you will not slumber;
    indeed, he who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.

    The LORD watches over you—
    the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
    the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.

    The LORD will keep you from all harm—
    he will watch over your life;
    the LORD will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.
