oh saturday...you are not our friend (pt.2)

Thank you all for your prayers and support. Pierce's nurse, Rachel along with the entire medical team were able to wrestle with Pierce and have seemed to get him more settled and stabilized. He appears to be much more comfortable than before and his vitals are much better. He is still having periodic spells, but they are occurring less. I feel like all day we have just been holding our breath, closing our eyes and clinging to Christ. I can honestly say there is no better place to be- completely trusting in Christ to sustain you and your child. But I'd lie if I didn't say it's not painful or the most difficult thing we've ever done. Please continue to pray that Pierce recovers from his surgery and that his lungs would get better soon so that they can wean him down on the ventilator settings. Also pray that tonight would be a quiet, restful night for all 3 of us and that Sunday would be a much, much better day than today.

Much love,
Lindsay, Nik and Pierce

  1. Praying for all three of you, my dear. Lifting up that sweet boy; EVERY moment of the day, somewhere in this world, one of us is speaking his name to Christ in fervent prayer for healing. This is just another round on that infamous roller coaster, but one day the scary ride will stop, you'll hop off and walk out with a healthy little boy. For every minute you reach for Him in this time, there is a moment that you will look back and think, "God, thank you for sustaining us through this period of trial." But it is soooo worth it in the end :)
