Surgery set to take place within the next few hours

Pierce's surgery has been set to take place within the next few hours. Please lift him up in your prayers, as well as the surgeon Dr. Peeler. Also pray for God to give wisdom to the doctors, nurses, and Dr. Peeler about what to do in regard to an IV line. They checked Pierce for veins that could be accessed but have found none. There has been a suggestion to put a central line in Pierce's chest in which they could use to inject blood. The line would be able to remain in there for sometime, but they are not sure if it will be a good idea because he is so small. We trust that the right decision will be made.

Then you will know that I am the LORD; those who wait for me shall not be put to shame." (Isa 49:23 ESV)

Grace and peace,

Nik, Lindsay, and Pierce

  1. You don't know me, I've been following your blog through Tammy D., please know that your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Your faith and strength blow me away daily! You are truly an inspiration to so many and I can not wait to hear how God is going to reward your devotion. Your precious baby is in great hands and then he has our Heavenly Father watching over him and holding his tiny hand every second of every day.

  2. I've been following your blog via some friends from Brookwood. You are an amazing young family, so obviously firm in your foundation in Christ. It is remarkable how many people are being touched by your words about tiny Pierce.
Sometimes the titles of the blog stir up fear in my heart for y'all, but then I need to refocus and remember "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." 2 Tim 1:7 May you find peace in Jesus and His immense love for your beautiful family.
I will continue praying endlessly for Pierce's needs and your well being.
    Your Sister In Christ,
    Chelle Geden
